Tremendous Cruise with Century -- Long to be Remembered

Our very many thanks go to Libby, Allan, Chris, Richard Xie and all the crew of the Century Sun cruise ship. Every one of them took the greatest of care with us, interacted brilliantly, gave us lots of interesting information about themselves and China and were very, very patient with us. In addition to the crew mentioned above, we would also like the following people to be acknowledged: Ling in the restaurant, Tina in the restaurant, Anna in the restaurant, Niki in the pearl shop, Cecelina - glass bottle painting.

Every shore excursion of Century Cruises arranged was of a standard higher than expected and the breakfast choices were more than adequate. Every lunch and dinner that was included as parts of the package were tasty, varied and more than adequate. Obviously onboard Century Cruises meal choices were immense and ranged from soups, salads, hot dishes, dishes prepared in front of you, to desserts and fruit.

The crew cannot be praised enough. It is one of the best cruises we have ever done (and we have travelled on cruise ships in the Caribbean and around Norway). The care and attention given were second to none.

We have no doubt that Libby and Allan in particular must work hardly, yet they remain happy, dedicated, alert, friendly and always on hand to assist.

The boat felt like a family home. When you boarded and disembarked, there were always members of the crew (from the people who looked after your cabin to the officers) to wave you off or welcome you back. You were given refreshments and a hot towel upon each embarkation. Crew members were always lined up to welcome you into the dining room and they would come around to the different tables to find out how you were.

The Crew Cabaret show that the crew put on during the second evening was fantastic - the performers ranged from the people who looked after your cabin to the people who worked in the restaurant to the senior crew members - very multi-talented. Everyone was encouraged and wanted to join in the dancing at the end.

The activities / demonstrations onboard Century Cruises that were organized (e.g. tai chi, traditional Chinese medicine, snuff bottle painting, Chinese freshwater pearls, Yangtze PowerPoint talk, afternoon tea, silk scarf wearing, cooking hotpot were interesting, well-timed and added to the family feeling. All public areas were extremely clean, comfortable and inviting and I would highly recommend Century Cruises for your China¡¯s Yangtze River cruise.
